Saudi Arabia and Iran have told the press that a pact is
not expected this week. The former seems to be of the opinion that “Iran,
Libya and Nigeria should be allowed to produce at the maximum levels that
makes sense”. He did leave markets with a glimmer of hope that an
agreement may be reached in Nov. Brent crude futures slid towards the
U$46-figure yesterday, taking a number of risk-sensitive currencies along
with it in late Asian hours. US stocks shrugged off the flippant OPEC...
