· Following the re-opening of 15-year MGII maturing 30 September 2030 with an issuance

Dear Readers,

Highlights of the report as follow:-

·         Following the re-opening of 15-year MGII maturing 30 September 2030 with an issuance size of RM3.0bn, the book-to-cover ratio (BTC) was 2.493 times, higher than the average YTD’s BTC of 2.284 times but slightly lower compared to the most recent re-opening of 15-year MGII in May 2016, which was at 2.621 times.
·         Demand predominantly came from local banks, Islamic real money, life and pension funds that are heavy cash-in-hand.
·         The wider 25.4 bps 15-year MGII/MGS spread might have attracted some interest from value-seekers. This compared to long-term 15-year MGII/MGS spread of 18.3 bps.
