Export Growth Continues To Moderate In June Merchandise export growth slowed to 0.8% YoY in June, from +13.7% YoY in May. This was the result of manufactured exports grinding to a halt, while the rest of the categories registered weaker growth. Moving forward, we maintain our forecast for the export of goods & services to return to a growth of 6.2% in 2017 (2016: -2.4%). This is on account of a pick-up in global demand for electrical & electronics (E&E) goods, a gradual improvement in world merchandise trade volumes, and a recovery in agricultural exports.
