KUALA LUMPUR, 8 November 2016 – Bond Pricing Agency Malaysia (BPAM) and
ASEAN+3 Bond Market Forum (ABMF) members have pledged to share information on
bond market data, marking an attempt to encourage transparency in the regional
market. This is an example of innovative collaboration among the members to
provide market-specific information in a structured format, giving market
participants and potential investors a clear perspective of the current market.
The information disseminated through AsianBondsOnline (ABO) website
designed to offers easy, centralized access information about the region’s
rapidly developing bond markets. BPAM’s market standard data can be accessed
through the website, which includes daily Ringgit bond market snapshot.
The website is targeted at institutional and individual investors,
sovereign and corporate issuers, financial intermediaries, credit rating
agencies, market regulators, policy makers, multilateral institutions, academic
researchers, and journalists, both in the local market and outside the region.
In a statement, the Chief Executive Officer of BPAM, Meor Amri Meor Ayob
said “This initiative is the latest example of efforts to create a more
integrated regional bond markets. With the progressive participation and
collaboration, we would have created transparency in the market, while there
has been increasing interest in regional bond markets”.
