HK’s trade numbers
missed market expectation in Oct 2016, indicating global economic recovery
was still unstable. But looking ahead, we do not believe trade condition will
deteriorate rapidly, given improvement in manufacturing sectors global wise
as well as rising commodity prices. However, we still hold a cautious view
for a longer term recovery, as slowing Chinese economy, a potential trade war
between China and the US, and
negative impact from Brexit will undermine HK’s trade sectors.
