Taiwan’s export orders
largely missed market expectation, due to moderation in orders towards
high-technology and electronic products. Orders from the US slowed
down in a faster pace in the month, showing pace of demand recovery remained
sluggish. But looking ahead, we still believe rising demand towards
information, communication and electronic products may support Taiwan’s
export orders in the near to medium term. Also, export of precision
instruments will grow at a faster pace in Nov 2016, as shown by improving
trend index.
