Thailand’s manufacturing production index (MPI) grew 0.6% y-o-y in
September, slowing from a 3.2% increase the month
before.
Over the previous three months, MPI slipped 0.4% y-o-y,
recoiling from a 1.7% gain in 2Q. As a result, we expect real GDP to grow
3.2% in 3Q, from +3.5% in 2Q.
Going forward, we maintain our projection of MPI to grow mildly
by 0.7% for the year, slowing slightly from 0.9% last year.
