Fixed Income Foreign Flows, Oct 16: Still inflows to bonds
· Emerging market debts overall experienced outflows in October as
foreign investors net sold -USD5.6b, down from a net gain of +USD18.3b in
September, the IIF estimates.

Bucking the broad emerging-market trend, foreign
demand on Malaysia’s debt securities remained robust in October with a MoM
increase of MYR2.4b as foreigners raised bond holdings in MGS by MYR3.2b and
GII by MYR3.4b totalling MYR6.6b, although it was partly offset by MYR3.9b
reduction in the foreign holdings of discount instruments.
