Economic Activity Moderates In December Overall, economic activities in the Philippines moderated in Dec 2017, with merchandise export growth easing during the month. Inflationary pressure, likewise, moderated slightly, along with M3 growth in December, but loan growth picked up during the month. Following the robust GDP growth in 4Q17, we expect the archipelago’s economic growth to be sustained at 6.5% YoY in 2018, holding up from +6.7% last year.
