Markets were focused on the recent WSJ interview with
Trump who lamented that the USD was too strong because “China holds down
its currency”. “Our companies can’t compete with them now because our
currency is too strong. And it’s killing us.” That sent the USD tumbling
yesterday, bringing relief to Asian currencies including that of China.
USDCNH came off towards the 6.80, a second attempt at breaking this key
support level. The pair was last seen hovering thereabouts ...
