The
Philippines’
merchandise exports contracted by a larger magnitude of 3.0% y-o-y in
December, from -1.1% in
November and compared with -10.8% in October, extending its contraction for
the ninth straight month. The larger contraction was mainly caused by a
reversal into a contraction in manufactured product exports and a larger
decline in the exports of forest products.
