No Trade War Between China & US … For Now Global Markets Daily by Saktiandi Supaat FX Research Joint statement released over the weekend by both China & US suggested a détente between the two world largest economies. Both sides agreed to stop "slapping tariffs" on each other and instead cooperate with each other, particularly in the areas of energy, agriculture, healthcare, high-tech products and finance. China also agreed to "significantly increase purchases" of US good, though no amount was mentioned. This does not eliminate the threat of tariffs but should nevertheless ease global ...
