US reported a solid private employment report for May with
a print of 253K addition to private hires in the month. That said,
initial jobless claims actually rose to 248K from the previous week of
235k. Despite the upside surprise in the numbers, the general trend of
initial jobless claims is still to the downside, indicating tightening
market conditions. The greenback retained much of its Asian gains after
