The re-opening of benchmark 5-year GII with an issuance
size of RM3.5 billion registered a strong book-to-cover ratio (BTC) of 2.454
times. Buyers were mostly long term local institutions and selective foreign
buying due to depressed global yields and the increasing expectations on
further monetary easing by Bank Negara.

Compared to equivalent past GII issuance since September
2014, this GII re-opening attracted the highest BTC. The average yield of
this GII of 3.401% also the lowest among the similar GII re-opening.

Next tender to watch is the re-opening of 7-year MGS
08/23 in August 2016.
