The solid growth potential in Asia
represents one of the most important economic stories in the past
decade. Between 2000 and 2013, emerging and developing Asia grew by
an average of 7.9%, while growth in advanced economies averaged just
1.8%. While the region’s economies vary in terms of structure,
growth was broadly supported by increasing trade activity, as well
as domestic consumption and investment.

The 12th IFSB Summit 2015 Theme
Discusses the Core Principles for Islamic Finance Regulation
|
The Islamic
Financial Services Board (IFSB) is pleased to announce the theme of the
12th IFSB Summit, namely, “Core Principles for Islamic Finance:
Integrating with the Global Regulatory Framework”. This twelfth edition
of the Summit, which is hosted by the National Bank of Kazakhstan, will
be held on 19 to 21 May 2015 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

RAM Holdings signs MoU with the
Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)
|
The
Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) with RAM to promote cooperation and communication
between the two organisations to develop core competency of graduates
in the capital market. The MoU would inter alia cover training
programmes on capital market, publication on Islamic finance and other
related activities.
