Bill English confirmed that he will stand for National
party leadership. This comes off the back of NZ Prime Minister John Key’s
announcement to resign as Prime Minister and National Party leader
yesterday morning (5 Dec), citing family reasons. PM Key’s decision to
resign was a surprise but not to be perceived in a negative light. We
expect NZD to remain broadly stable, supported by strong growth momentum,
rising dairy prices, solid labor market (employment growth outpaced
population growth),
