Key highlights for the week ending 4 March 2016



·         Last week, the SFI rose 0.45%.  The equity market, as measured by the STI surged 7.08%.

·         YTD, the SFI has outperformed the STI by 3.52% (1.93% vs. -1.59%).

·         The SFI ended the week 0.45% higher. The index rose across both the government bond segment (SFI Government Bond Index) and corporate bond segment (SFI Corporate Bond Index).

·         Statutory board bonds are up 4.34% y-o-y, the best performer within the SFI suite, and therefore supporting gains in the SFI Corporate Bond Index.

·         The SFI was rebalanced on Tuesday, with one new issuance of S$2B by the Singapore Government added to the SFI.

·         The SGD appreciated against the USD, up 2.18% last week. YTD, the SGD has appreciated 3.01% against the USD.
