Industrial
production rose to 6.5% y-o-y in August, from +0.6% in July and compared
with +7.0% in June. The reading was better than the median estimate of a 5.1%
gain due to normalisation of manufacturing activities following a shorter
working month in July. This was reflected in an improvement in manufacturing
and electricityoutput, aided by a rebound in the production from the mining
sector.
