The re-opening of 15-year GII with an issuance size of RM2.5 billion registered an attractive book-to-cover ratio (BTC) of 2.621 times as local assets – insurance and pension funds extending their portfolio durations and attractive yield spread against MGS.

v The re-opening of 15-year GII with an issuance size of RM2.5 billion registered an attractive book-to-cover ratio (BTC) of 2.621 times as local assets – insurance and pension funds extending their portfolio durations and attractive yield spread against MGS.

v Compared to equivalent past GII issuance in July 2014, this re-opening GII however attracted lowest BTC since 2013. The average yield of this GII of 4.417% was higher against 4.393% in July 2014.

v Next tender to watch is the new issue of 10.5-year MGS 11/26 in May 2016. Past tender result for similar tenure in March 2015 gave a yield range of 3.938% - 3.967%.
