After
the improvement last month, Thailand’s
May customs merchandise exports unexpectedly
slipped 5.0%
y-o-y, compared to its 1.7% drop in April. Industrial exports led the
decline, with electronics and electrical equipment shipments particularly
weak. Agricultural goods exports fell by a smaller magnitude in May and
helped cushion some of the downside.
