Luxembourg leads world for highly-skilled employees
Almost 60% of the Luxembourg
workforce is in jobs requiring tertiary education, the highest level in
the world ahead of Singapore and Switzerland, according to the World
Economic Forum and the International Labour Organisation. The researchers
say this is largely due to the financial sector's requirement for high
levels of education and training.

ALFI appoints
Denise Voss as Chairman
The Association of the Luxembourg
Fund Industry (ALFI) announced the appointment of Denise Voss as chairman
of ALFI, taking over from Marc Saluzzi. Ms Voss takes up the position,
which will initially run for two years.

year, the number of jobs rose 2.5 percent, driven by considerable growth
in ICT (5.1 percent) and specialist and support services (4.9 percent),
according to the national Statistical Institute (STATEC).
