Fixed Income Weekly Pulse, 11 May 2015


 Highlights of the week:


·         Uncertainty over the shape of U.S. fundamentals diminish expectations for the Federal Reserve to boost interest rates   
·         The release of mixed US data during the week left the US treasuries on a choppy session    
·         The European Commission lifts the Eurozone growth forecast for 2015 to 1.5% from the previous forecast of 1.3%
·         UK prime minister lead Conservative Party win an overall majority in the general election
·         Bank Negara Malaysia keeps the Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) steady at 3.25%
·         In response to global events, local govvies experience some sell off
