Thailand’s
customs merchandise exports slipped into a decline of 3.5% y-o-y in January,
after expanding by 1.9% in December and compared with -1.0% in November. This
came in below the median estimate of +1.9% and our expectation of no growth,
indicating the continued dismal outlook for exports after it contracted for
the second consecutive year in 2014.
