FW: Fixed Income Daily Pulse - 28 August 2017

Good Evening,

Today’s trade recap by our trading desk:-

·         A quiet start to the week after an uneventful Jackson Hole Symposium over the weekend where both Yellen and Draghi avoided monetary policy measures in their respective speeches. This resulted in USD weakness and UST yields sliding 2 bps to 2.16% levels. In the local bond space, some buying flows continue to firm up prices across the MGS curve while traded volume remained relatively thin as MYR strengthened towards 4.2670 levels. Yields ended the day bout 1bps lower at the belly. For the upcoming 7y GII auction tomorrow, WI was taken 3.97% today.
