· Lackluster day in MYR bond space as the local bonds tracked UST movements in which the 10Y

Today’s trade recap by our trading desk:-

·         Lackluster day in MYR bond space as the local bonds tracked UST movements in which the 10Y treasuries shot up by 6bps overnight despite some dovish talks by NY Fed President William Dudley at a conference in Bali. GII benchmarks saw some selling pressure on the 5-10Y stocks while the MGS short ends were sold as well. Yield curve ended the day 3-4bps higher as MYR weakens today to 4.0550 levels on the back of continuous dropping of oil prices. WTI crude now trading below $40/barrel for the first time since April this year. Reopening auction for 7Y MGS was announced today with an issuance of RM3.0bio. WI was last quoted at 3.45-39 on the wide with nothing done so far.
