Malaysia

Economic Highlights

The broader money supply, M3, weakened to 6.5% y-o-y in April, from +7.9% in March and compared to +6.9% in February. This was reflected in a bigger decline in external operations due to withdrawal of foreign short-term capital. The demand for funds by the private sector also inched down, while government operations grew weaker in April.
