Daily Cover

GLOBAL: Recognizing the chasm between talent and Islamic economy job opportunities, London and Dubai-based Jardine Human Capital has forged a partnership with Islamic Finance news (IFN) to launch a unique global platform designed specifically to connect employers and potential job seekers in the Islamic economy space.

Known as the Islamic Economy Career Portal, this pioneering platform utilizes a sophisticated system to optimize both career and candidate search for hiring companies and job seekers. Through the portal’s user-friendly categorization apparatus, interested organizations would be able to narrow down candidates with the required expertise, experience and qualification while individuals would be able to filter work opportunities by country, industry, organization as well as experience level.

“What we have found during our own work is that actually there is a selection of excellent talent out there but it is difficult to find; they are often already in work and not active job seekers, though these are individuals who would be interested in moving to a new position if the opportunity arose,” explained Azhar Mirza, CEO of Jardine Human Capital. “We are now going to be able to pair together companies with these individuals. Crucially, we are globalizing a sector which has previously been limited to regions e.g. London, Kuala Lumpur and the GCC.”

Highlighting that the Islamic finance sector is one of the most established areas within the Islamic economy, with phenomenal growth of demand across regions including the Middle East, Asia and Africa, Azhar notes the immense opportunity to pair job positions with best-fitting candidates. “Through our partnership with IFN, we will be able to communicate with an exceptionally large and global selection of professionals who are working in, or are interested in working in the Islamic finance space.”

Commenting on the launch of the new platform, Andrew Morgan, the managing director and publisher of IFN, said: “We hear on a daily basis about the number of professionals the industry requires, yet there are many thousands of Islamic finance graduates and experienced practitioners seeking suitable positions. This new Islamic Economy Career Portal will provide both job and staff seekers with that necessary link. Azhar and his team have done a wonderful job in developing this portal and we’re delighted to be working with them.”

The Islamic Economy Career Portal can be accessed at www.jardinehc.com.
