· Re-opening of 10-year
MGII maturing 30 September 2026 with an issuance size of RM3.0bn recorded
lower book-to-cover ratio (BTC) of 2.02 times compared to average YTD’s BTC
of 2.24 times. Demand was mainly from local pension funds, insurance and
asset management companies. Foreign appetite was affected by the weakening of
MYR against USD and increase in probability that Fed will raise policy rates
in December 2016.
· Next tender to watch
is the re-opening of 20-year MGS 05/35 in October 2016.
