GBL: FX Vols Picking Up... albeit from its Lows Global Markets Daily by Saktiandi Supaat FX Research Though DXY index was on the back foot overnight, we have to be careful in inferring USD strength/weakness from the index alone as USD weakness was not felt across the board. USD weakness was more felt against EUR, JPY and CHF but USD continues to hold up vs. most EMFX. The recent theme cannot purely be attributed to soft USD play alone but to look upon as vol/carry play. While markets had been comfortably chasing short vol/long carry trades, a pick-up in FX vol from its recent lows could mean...
