Fixed Income Foreign Flows, Oct 17: Signs of Slowdown in Debt Flows
· Fund flows to emerging market debts faced headwinds in October with signs of slowdown.
· Closer to home in regional markets, higher frequency data showed that Indonesia reported –USD1.7b outflows in October, the first time since Nov 2016.
· In Malaysia, foreign funds net sold MYR2.8b of domestic debts, bringing foreign holdings down to MYR197.3b (Sep: MYR200.1b) although part of which might be maturity-driven.
