Brexit referendum
day finally arrives as UK begins voting whether to stay within EU or not.
Polls will close 10pm London time with the first results expected to trickle
in 1 hour after. Despite the major event risk, the local bond market
continues to see foreign buying interest on the 5Y MGS. The market traded
sideways despite the flows as many traders continued to cut out risk into the
event risk. Yields ended the day largely unchanged while MYR strengthen to
4.0150 levels. Market is expected to be very volatile tomorrow morning till
NY closing once polling results start to come in.
