Industrial
production softened to 5.2% y-o-y in February, after moderating
to +7.0% in January and from +7.4% in December. This was affected partly by a
shorter working month due to festivity, while external demand for the
country’s exports remained sluggish. As a result, manufacturing production
slackened in February, while electricity output decelerated. A pick-up in
mining output, however, mitigated the slowdown.
